I'm a gardener living and working in Sussex and I love taking photos in my spare time. All views my own!

Today I'm reminded of these Tolkien quotes: “I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”

On election days I think of my Great Aunt Phoebe, (in the plain top) who died 17 years ago. As a young woman she was angry she couldn't vote because there wasn't universal suffrage until she was 26. I have never taken my right to vote for granted #GeneralElection2024

A good result when checking our Slow Worm habitats today, everything from teeny tiny ones (forget me nots for scale!) to much larger adults in our East Sussex Garden. @ARC_Bytes @SussexWildlife
