It means being flexible that there will be windows when someone is not available; or that there will be interruptions from kids/family members; or that someone needs time to regroup/recharge between meetings. And those things are true no matter where you actually work from. 2/2

I think the key to It not leading to burnout has to be that it's not only framed as working from different places. "Flexibility" means more than just where someone sits: it's equally important that people are more open/flexible to different working styles, needs, and timing. 1/2
Will workplace flexibility lead to the same unintended outcome (burnout) as unlimited PTO (which no one ever uses)? Thinking about flexibility needing to go hand in hand with burnout prevention for as long as people are both care giving and working, in particular.

Conversely, I find myself increasingly exhausted with the folks who built their whole social persona around eyerolling indifference and detachment. A year like that and they’re still all about themselves? Man I don’t get it.
