With support from 40tude @curebowelcancer, St Mark’s & @ICR_London found a new way to predict cancer risk in IBD patients. DNA patterns in pre-cancerous lesions accurately measure risk. Next step: a less invasive test, like a blood test. More via

The study, funded by Cancer Research UK, could lead to a blood test which will inform doctors which inflammatory bowel disease patients are most at risk of cancer.
