This is actually a fascinating play. Its not "ooooh what if spooky Simpsons", its about several generations of a post-apocalpyspe trying to recount the pop culture lost. And how that mutates as people get more and more disconnected from the source material being available.

One thing I would like to stress is that if this pilot isn't great, that's perfectly fine. There has never been a single Muppet series that started off perfect. Even the original series had some flaws in its first season. If you stick with it, in time it will be hilarious.

Treasure Planet 2 was well into development. Concept art and storyboards were done, with new characters and a fresh adventure planned. Willem Dafoe had been cast as the villain and was reportedly on his way to record when Disney canceled the film.

This is a firm demonstration for how harmful streaming can be for films and shows. They can disappear without a moments notice and they have nowhere else to be legally seen. This is why streaming needs to put more stuff out on physical media cause art shouldn't be lost to time.
