This picture is from Uganda’s best & oldest university. One requires atleast 2 principle passes to get in. To the right is the gazetted walkway. To the left is, well, a human constructed pathway. Design problem? Impunity of walkers?

Deals randomly made in restaurants are often shady. Uganda is a nation of 'deals'.
Kampala is a double edged sword; . You can walk into a restaurant and run into old friends and wind up as part of a billion shillings deal, . And, . You can also wind up as part of co-accused in a deal gone bad . 😂😂😂.

Multinationals may enter a market with enough investor capital to cover staff & operational expenses for 2 ~10 years or more (years vary depending on how deep their investors' pockets are). And when that dries up they may dilute and sell more shares to raise capital to continue.
When you learn that Jumia Uganda has never ‘broken even’ after all the years it has spent in operation, you learn to respect people in business.
