"Stop doing that. Stop," says the teacher. What is the student doing? ✅️Sounding out a word. Instead, the teacher wants the student to look at a picture and ❌️guess the word. Lunacy. This is why I homeschool.
People don't believe that teachers are telling kids NOT to sound out words until they see it for themselves It's incredible that the field of education can't even agree that words are made of letter sounds Thanks @JohnStossel for raising awareness of the importance of phonics
