My central thesis about technology in general is that we are not approaching a singularity of unbounded vertical growth but instead an asymptote. As the number of layers in the stack approaches infinity the failure of at least one is guaranteed.

As I was introducing my wife to the South I told her about the silly stereotypes, like the prevalence of guys named Bubba. I told her I'd never met a Bubba in my entire life. "That's literally all your Dad calls you in person. He calls you Bubba. Never your name.". Anagnorisis.

This is surprising, but maybe it shouldn't be? I am coding with current models every day and it lets me do some things much faster, but I also spend time backtracking and catching subtle errors that I would have never made in the first place if working totally solo.
