Just the most amazing nonsense being talked about 20mph speed limits: itâs not fuel efficient, youâll be looking at the speedo, itâs distracting. Good grief. Like American gun nuts demanding the right to kill people.

Tell me you know nothing about school governance without telling me you know nothing about school governance (etc) đ¤¨
@sarahbeanscott @MsGHist It still doesnât explain why theyâre needed? Schools are accountable to so many people & academy bosses too, so why this bunch of old retired dudes & people doing their bit for âcharityâ or whatever it is? Theyâre so pointless. Happy to be corrected but in 20 yrs, not understood!

Shocking. Also: completely unsurprising. Also: the labelling of expertise, insight & knowledge as an "influencer" (with quotes) - because they are listened to & trusted? Presumably in contrast to the established rosy view of influencers within the DfE:

We finally know how much influencers were paid to promote the back-to-school campaign after lockdown
This may be about to become a much bigger story than I anticipated when I submitted my SAR, turns out itâs happened to a lot of people! Many people are afraid to speak out because theyâre worried about their work and there is an imbalance of power at play here. Of course as a

Timing not great! Teachers on their knees as end of term approaches. No teacher should feel guilty for not reading this. It's a helpful doc but doesn't contain anything revolutionary. Enjoy the rest of term with your pupils - this can wait! Read when energy levels allow.

Apropos of not very much, I think we should remember that you can create very, very convincing pictures with generative AI, and that we should be careful about making assumptions on the veracity of images until we know for sure if they're real.

A big part of the problem with the DfE is that they see everything in performative not developmental terms. Sustained shared thinking isn't about meeting a 'standard' it's about developing your thoughts, ideas and feelings.
We have drawn on the evidence for âsustained shared thinkingâ and 5-year-olds are now expected to meet more demanding standards:

Really tired of certain MPs bashing the BBC for not acting on the allegations, when they themselves actively lobbied for the MP who abused me not to be named, suspended, or investigated, and took steps to protect him.
