Diagnosed 15 years ago. Put in palliative care & told they’d do their best to keep me alive. 2 transplants, 15 drug combos, & 2 CarTs & anxiously waiting on next trial. Doesn’t end there! Crazy professional twists/turns. Traveled to cool places. I like to hike. Friends!!!

Thank you to @TakedaOncology for supporting our Myeloma ACTION Month campaign. Sharing your story raises myeloma awareness, creates community with other patients and care partners, and helps researchers keep pushing for a cure. So, what's your #MYelomaSTORY?

Lung Sounds Pro tip: A frequently misunderstood findings on this table is that in “consolidation” of pneumonia, breath sounds ⬆️ as they are transmitted to the chest wall & into your ear. Many people ✍️ ⬇️ed breath sounds, but that would only be in the presence of an effusion!

Just watched #thisisgoingtohurt. Even though hospitals teeming full of people, they can be painfully lonely. They have chewed up and spat out some of our brightest, kindest without a moments pause. There have been too many Shruti's. Thank you @amateuradam for shining a light.

1/🧵 Are you happy? My brother w #DownSyndrome is teaching me tons of life lessons. In medicine & in life, I make big decisions based on guesstimates of other’s Quality of Life #QOL. I often GET IT WRONG!   What do adults w #disability teach me about TRUTH? Can I learn?

To understand people's passions, ask what they love to do. To know their values, find out who they look up to—and why. The virtues we cherish in others are a window into what we hold most dear. The strengths we admire are a mirror that reflects who we aspire to become.

Burnout isn't due to a lack of motivation. It's caused by a shortage of capacity. There are more interesting people and projects than hours in the day. The key question isn't whether you have interest. It's whether you have bandwidth. Enthusiasm is boundless. Time is finite.
