Raising property taxes is a non-starter. New York’s property tax system is already broken. In Brooklyn, some homes are taxed at rates up to 3x higher than luxury properties. This would only make an unfair system worse and hit Black and brown communities hardest.

In the midst of all the noise, I was super excited to support JUSTICE Norma Jean Jennings, the First BLACK openly lesbian woman, at her induction today. Such an iconic moment to witness. I love this borough of Brooklyn.

I hope @GovKathyHochul sees this & sees who’s in leadership that’s part of their organization. There is a working agenda against her within DSA & they are making it clear. Don’t put a statement out with tagging her. Come on! Are you scared?
