Fantastic thread here!!! Just to add the inspiring, intense nights, the groovy silent disco under the stars, the robot art, and the amazing Phd students participating in the summer school. @uw_hill what a week.... and still not done here 😎
Very busy week at the Summer School on HRI in Chęciny (Poland)! Yesterday, gave a keynote on Robots and LLMs (mostly about PepperGPT), and ran four hours of NAO dialogue workshop with some very passionate students!

@LeeloKeevallik & I are very honoured to present a special issue on ‘Sounding for Others’, a phenomenon in which we voice the bodily events of co-participants. https://t.co/qSu0WsHG5s Our enormous thanks go to the authors on this issue for their hard work and wonderful insights!

Loved it!! Thank you for organising!
Marina Cantarutti and Richard Ogden led a really interesting panel on multimodal ways of management the unsaid and the unsayable in interaction at #ICCA2023 at the University of Queensland today.

Food disgust during mealtimes is a curious thing and worth examining closely: faces and sounds are intricately interwoven with social interaction. @LeeloKeevallik and I continue our investigations into the sounds of eating:

“carefully timed non-lexical vocalisations… create opportunities of co-experiencing & being attuned, making actions & sensations accessible to… enable mutually accessible meaning… in which the infant is invited to engage with language” — @irisnomikou 👏 https://t.co/h5EnAtdc2n

My first single authored paper ever (well beyond my PhD thesis) and it has been such a rollercoaster to write it and finish it. A lot of soul has gone into this... so please world be kind to it.
