Apparently craving and chomping ice counts as a kind of pica. Not something I expected to tick off on my bingo sheet.

After 5 weeks of illness I am trying to work up pride that I edited a couple of sentences today. And posted a tweet. Look at me go.

Just to say, thank you all so, so much for your responses! I am pondering how best to summarize and what to test.

When preparing transcripts for publication, do you send to proofs as: (Trying to capture how we deal with text rather than stills. e.g. 'edited images' meaning editing so all transcripts all have same relative text size regardless of size of transcript)

#emca Could you share your process for preparing transcripts for publication? Especially if that is transcripts->images! I'm thinking we should make a tutorial. Will message for citing you if I can get time together to make something proper. Meanwhile the tread is a start.

Check out our paper showing the intricacies of repetitions for temporal coordination. An in-depth dive into repetitions beyond repair and urgency. Thank you so much to my wonderful co-authors and for the incredible direction of @LeeloKeevallik

So grateful to have been a part of this paper - to amazing colleagues (we all kept wondering how the others were working magic), and to amazing participants for helping us understand their relationships, and to Julia Katila for steering it all so wonderfully.
Almost too beautiful for a research paper - how people sound while hugging to communicate touch. With Julia Katila and @EMdoesCA

Did anyone actually put down something OTHER than sparklemuffin for the wildcard #MMM2024? This was surely Destined to be a battle result that either brought the Entire Internet enormous joy or enormous sadness, and the gods of the random number generator gave us great joy.

Not so much looking for info on recording, camerawork, or even unique adequacy, though if you're keen go ahead. Really hoping for the 'after recording' (thank you to @KamunenAntti et al. for their text on iterative analytic work in recording)

Five minutes of twitter and I need a nap. This was not the wisest way to spend a break while trying to stare down how to get back into things. Not better yet gahh.

We are indeed! Congratulations Dr. Löfgren!
Agnes Löfgren defending her thesis at @liu_universitet this afternoon. Fascinating discussion about depiction and interaction with Beatrice Szczepek Reed as opponent. Supervisors @LeeloKeevallik @EMdoesCA and Angelika Linke must be very proud.

I am a painfully wordy person. But something about 'quiddity' and 'haeccity' continues to raise my hackles. I somehow feel personally attacked by the shibboleth & the way it feels unnecessary to me. (Is this how others feel when I slip into Dickensian academese?)
