Researchers are taking dead human brains and reanimating them - minus consciousness - to test new drugs. Loved writing this feature about how blurring the line between life and death is helping us save lives that would otherwise be lost. @newscientist

Why is the @channel4 app lagging every six seconds? It’s not internet speed/tv etc all other apps working fine. Does anyone know a work around? Driving me crazy.

I'm getting at best about a 1 in 7 response rate from researchers. When I was last freelance about 5 years ago, I was getting 1 in 2. Has something changed in academia re talking to science journalists that I don't know about?
