@MittensOff Michael Gove served as Secretary of State for Education from 2010 to 2014. So yes, the bit where there was a massive turnaround versus the calamitous plummeting standards seen in the previous decade.

Farage would be able to stop the boats in two weeks in the sense that, within two weeks of him winning an election, the media would stop talking about it. This is what happened here in Italy after Meloni came to power. The boats are still coming but the media rarely mention it.

I totally support the National Year Of Reading. We desperately need a culture of reading for pleasure to replace the culture of constant tests in schools, backed by proper government funding. And we need STORYTIME to be part of the school day, every day! (Art @chrisriddell50)
