Good to see the rare visiting Red-Breasted Goose (Branta ruficollis) at Fishtail Lagoon @LymKeyRanger yesterday (15/2/24) They migrate from Siberia to overwinter in Black Sea area. So it's a long way off normal route. No ring so may not be an escapee.

Sometimes the stars align! After sitting in freezing cold conditions, for hours, the magic happened. Credit to @AlanMcFadyen for an amazing set up and an evening well hosted. Where else can you go to see and photograph wild Owls, Badgers and rural Foxes all at the same time.
