You always have to research where the numbers come from. As a math teacher I used to always talk to my students about how statistics are manipulated. Thanks @GregAbbott_TX for an excellent classroom example, now please fully fund public education.
Of the 1000 voters that were polled: 74% had no children in school 23% (the highest percentage) were Catholics....who would potential have much to gain with vouchers!! Dont be fooled by the result of this poll....polls are for politicians not public policy.

Where did you get this data? Lies!
Texans now support school choice by more than a 2 to 1 margin. Legislators who are against it, are simply against their own constituents. They will have a chance to vote on it in an upcoming special session.

GOV. I encourage you to be in a classroom where there is 40 kids and one teacher with 40 different learning styles while trying to reach ALL accommodations, TEKS, less resources, constant back lash from outside entities and constant change and you tell me how “woke” it is! 🤦🏽♂️

Parents are already empowered and we teach the Republican created TEKS. If you were up for reelection right now I guarantee you would not be attacking public school like this. I have voted for you in every election since 2002 when you became attorney general. I’m done.

Yes, there is more work to do, like funding public schools so that we can properly pay our awesome teachers and educate ALL children, unlike private schools who can pick and choose and remove whomever they want. Public funds should not be diverted to private schools!

Hey @GovAbbott , this is my daughter and her kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Ford. They ran into each other at a wedding. The impact she made on my daughter’s life cannot be measured. That’s what teachers are about: impacting lives. Put your agenda aside and fund public schools!

Kind of like how you are holding public schools hostage by refusing to fund us unless vouchers are tied to it? Vouchers DO NOT work and will only siphon funds from our schools. Do what is right for our kids and teachers!
