Be careful. Psychiatric drugs alter who you are, how you think, feel, and behave. Think alcohol only a lot more insidious. With alcohol you know you're impaired. Not so with psychiatric drugs. That only happens when you get off them.

My experience is not that psychiatrists avoid/deny treating trauma; many do throw an SSRI or low-dose antipsychotic at it. But few have the time or training to offer trauma-focused psychotherapy as 1st-line, even though it’s far more effective . And they should refer accordingly!.
Its not that psychiatry often doesn't treat trauma. Psychiatry habitually avoids/denies trauma.

I did not grow up eating rice with my hands and have always used a fork. I was born in America. I’m a Christian MAGA patriot. My father’s extended family lives in India and they are also Christian and they use forks too. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Of course there’s generally a way to show real-world effectiveness of psychedelics for any condition — but legalization for a specific psychiatric condition without RCT’s is silly. Legalize for everyone by that logic! Sincerely.
