Conduit, in particular, is something I'm so so proud of. I'm sad to leave the team but I'm glad I was able to give back even a little bit to a community I love. There will be a few things coming out over the next few months that I wrote but after that...time to be a fan again.

What's funny is that I had written low frequency intro lines where Conduit mimicks some of the Legend intros and weeks later Animation separately pitched the idea. Then I wrote a few additional ones to match what they had.
I was gonna wait a bit for you to discover an Easter egg I left in the game for Conduit but since it was discovered within a few hours I guess the time to talk about it is now 😅 – Conduit has multiple character selections that randomly play, and this was truly inspired by YOU 🧵

Tidbit: Cleo is named so (not only for the chuckle) but mostly because I was looking at good candidates related to it's planet, Boreas.

In Greek mythology, Boreas is the god of the North Wind and his children are Khione/Chione, the Boreades (twins, and a name also considered), Chione, Cleopatra, & others.
Cleopatra means "glory of her father", signifying the glory of Boreas is broken. It's also a butterfly.

Alex is a powerhouse. The Apex Community is built upon the bridges she made. Devs, VAs, players, fan artists, and other creators--she pulled the different parts of Apex together.
After 20 Seasons of Apex and 5 years at Respawn nearly to the day, my job has been made redundant and I have been laid off.
Working on this game and supporting this community has truly been the honor of my career and a highlight of my life.

It's also Cleo to infer sisterhood. Many cultures see Earth's moon as a feminine energy. Cleo watches over Boreas (and Catalyst), taking in their hopes and secrets, a steady presence.
