Some things are built to last! Back in 1986 Robert Bosch GmbH (with Mercedes Benz) created a protocol to send digital messages between car electronics. The Controller Area Network (CAN) Bus is still going strong. #techmor #engineering #canbus

@EngineMode11 A company called Emprise makes anemometers for measuring airflow. They are very lightweight and have extremely low friction bearings. Techmor has built some modules to put the pulse signals on the CAN bus.

This tiny Techmor circuit board translates sensor output to the CAN Bus. This particular board reads a modern sensor with I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) communications and creates a periodic CAN Bus message. #techmor #sensors #CANBus

Our first iteration. Banebots planetary stack, a 3 gear drop out of that with an arm so you could disengage it for manual adjustments. Then a very nice @Techmor contactless potentiometer for position sensing. 60 rpm so would do about 1 round of adjustment per second.
