Is there such a thing as ‘community Mental Health services’ anymore? Being suicidal is NOT a crime. #StopSIM

Over a year now since NHS England released their StopSIM statements regarding treatment of patients deemed high intensity users . I have heard nothing to the contrary , so I imaging the director of nursing at Southern health NHSFT still feels her staff should be allowed to

Neorecovery (or Unrecovery) model for #mentalillness and #autism. How Recovery has been hijacked by Neoliberalism to reduce costs and subjugate control. This is not true 'Recovery' - Living a life as well as possible. @RITB_ #StopSim #StopOxevision #Neorecovery #PdInTheBin #Mad

Based on my information the @PHSOmbudsman disagrees with the #stopsim statement released by NHS England in March this year . I'm trying to ask the PHSO how this conflict will work in practice , but they are understandably reluctant to engage . https://t.co/KVIcZXurLt

Last push for signatories for this open letter in support of #StopSIM before we send it to NHS England. Stop the criminalisation of people in acute mental distress who should not pay with their rights and wellbeing for service and policy failings. https://t.co/T47TZji4yf

Here we go again #StopSIM. As expected @NHSEngland instructions to stop criminalising mental distress & self-harm were pointless & ineffective. It was clearly a token gesture pretending that lessons had been learned. https://t.co/dCwzLrJaot
Suicidal? Attempting suicide? You're officially a nuisance #StopSim

A 🧵of trying to capture the real impacts of survivor activism and working (/being exploited by) @NHSEngland before I log out of Twitter for a while. I bitterly regret the decision to work with NHSE on the joint StopSIM statement which will never see the light of day 1/9

My DMs are frequently filled with mh professionals asking to use my writing, drawings & experiences for their lectures/books/papers. I usually always say yes. Not any more. If you are a professional who wants my material & you are not openly supporting #StopSIM @StopSIMMH, 1/

The #StopSIM letter from 100s of professionals and allies has gone to @NHSEngland. Huge appreciation to @lemonade_fiona for organising. Many of us survivors and allies have resigned or are on strike until we get accountability+transparency. Come on NHSE!🔊 https://t.co/PHXUCoBeO2

This JS2 account was set up specifically in March 2021 to support the #StopSIM campaign & maintain confidentiality to avoid repercussions with my own MH "care". I didn't want to use my old Twitter account for fear of being identifiable. 1

Very disappointing that so many HCPs & AHPs professed to be so shocked by SIM 2 years ago & yet so few are now prepared to sign to protect vulnerable patients from institutional harm. Ty to those who have organised this & those who signed #StopSIM
Nursing allies of #StopSIM, last day to sign the open letter to NHS England. Yours is supposed to be the caring profession. Stand up now and show us that's true.
