The empty promise of AGI is based on the false presupposition that human intelligence is computable and human brain is a machine. This baseless assumption is also dangerous in that it reduces humans to mere mechanistic 'systems' subjected to systematic approaches of manipulation.
This is the 3rd failed attempt to reach AGI (Human Level AI) since the 1960s. LLMs are just the most recent dead end. 55 years ago tech guru Marvin Minsky predicted: "In from three to eight years we will have a machine with the general intelligence of an average human being."
