This Labor Day, we honor the essential contributions labor unions have made in making our city strong. Thank you for defending all workers, fighting for positive progress, and continuing to help build a community we can be proud of.

Folks came out to participate in today’s Rock the Block at Bond Hill Recreation Center and Bond Hill Academy! . This City Manager initiative helps bring City Hall to our communities, and it was great to see all the departments who showed up to connect with local families.

Cutting the ribbon this morning on the @CincyFireEMS new Fire Training Campus. It’s our responsibility to honor the sacrifices of our firefighters by making sure they have access to the very best training and resources. And this campus is an important part of that commitment.

Exciting new growth and momentum in the heart of our Downtown. The Foundry and its businesses are bringing even more life to the Fountain District, and more opportunities for residents to enjoy our urban core.

Happy Saturday, Cincy! The Queen City Slam basketball tournament is underway at the Banks, and Flugtag begins at Sawyer Point in just a few hours. A great day to come downtown!

This is a heartbreaking and disgusting act of violence. A senseless killing, rounds fired onto our city streets that families walk every single day. Our hearts are with Chrishonda’s family and loved ones. And we will stop at nothing to bring the shooter to justice.

As always, there is work ahead of us to build on our robust approach to combatting violence. I look forward to continuing dialogue and collaborative action with local, state and federal partners.

Today @berniemoreno and I sat down with city leaders and law enforcement. We had a productive discussion of our city’s public safety interventions, as well as the critical role federal funds and partnerships play in keeping our communities safe.

An update with our walking patrol on Main St.

We are aware of the racist, hateful flyers that have been distributed in parts of our city. CPD is investigating, and as always, working to ensure our residents remain safe. Outsiders bringing hate to our city is inexcusable. We will not become a city where hate succeeds.

Thank you to Vice Mayor Kearney, Councilmember Johnson, and the @CincyPD officers we spent time with. And thank you to all our law enforcement and partners out supporting folks, and of course the residents who brought energy and fun to our urban core!

This weekend, I had the opportunity to spend both nights walking through OTR, Fountain Square, and the Banks to greet residents and visitors.
