Our #Homeless Outreach and Programs Engagement (HOPE) team is helping with the #PointInTimeCount where we gather data on those experiencing homelessness in our community to better direct resources. This is the first year MCSO has been involved & our HOPE team is a perfect fit.

Last week, I joined 1,500 other volunteers by walking the streets at 4AM to count and survey folks experiencing homelessness. This year's #PointinTimeCount was bittersweet. We saw inspiring progress in some areas, but a significant need for increased services in others.

I’ve been participating in the #PointInTimeCount since 2011 (in Santa Barbara & San Diego). Thank you to the volunteers & the @SDPartnership team for letting me join. We must double our efforts to find short and long term solutions for those experiencing homelessness.

MAG’s annual #PointinTimeCount is taking place throughout the Maricopa region today. This annual street count helps determine the number of people experiencing #homelessness. The data gathered in the count can then be used to measure progress & advocate for additional resources

On a given night, approximately 4,000 to 6,000 individuals experience homelessness in shelters or on the streets of our city. Tonight, hundreds of volunteers & city staff are performing the annual #pointintimecount to provide mutual aid & survey the needs of our most vulnerable

Every person counted in the #PointInTimeCount represents a life, a story, and a need for housing and support. Joined the @SDHFtweets team bright and early in University Heights to help ensure our homeless neighbors are seen and their needs understood. #weallcount
