So, day 1: I generated a heightmap using Perlin Noise, and am currently using a library called "macroquad" to generate the 3d surface that corresponds to the Perlin Noise. I've hit alot of "drawcall" limits with this library so I might have to optimize or try something else.

Two findings drawing a polygon with Macroquad: 1. Each vertex costs quite a lot of memory (around 300 bytes) 2. Each vertex costs in performance (I have no measurement, atm) The second point is quite visible if you compare this to the quoted tweet.
