This is extremely important. TriTrypDB/VEuPathDB is excellent, support it or lose it!

This is of course integrated in our favourite database #TriTrypDB within @veupathdb. The usefulness of this resource is endless and if you don't know how to use it, the website has all the tutorials to walk you step by step. Give it a go!

If they cannot defend themselves, they should delete the database and handover the data to #TritrypDB. That will help many #Leishmania researchers. I hope WU will create a better reference soon, so we can analyze L ama.

@albuquerqueafrr If you're working with a genome that's in TriTrypDB, you can get TMHMM predictions from the database without running it yourself.

I was just showing a new undergrad how to use #PlasmoDB today (how to download sequences +/- bp on either side, etc). Then he asked "is there one for Leishmania? I have an essay on that." MY CHILD!! LET ME SHOW YOU ALLLL THE DATABASES!! @veupathdb #TriTrypDB @NIAIDFunding

Great talk from @CClayton_ZMBH on the roles of RNA biding proteins in African trypanosomes, followed by some great chat about reference genomes and tritrypdb! Here is a link to a survey, all feedback goes to making the resources the best they can!

Really great discussion #vksarthropod I think it is important to consider the required infrastructure like #vectorbase #PlasmoDB or #TriTrypDB and informatics skills needed to support hypothesis driven lab work - wet lab and dry lab work are no longer separate endeavors
