Much of the scrub has gone from Tottenham Marshes, and with it (I presume) cover for voles; so I was thrilled to see this male Kestrel there on Sunday @ThePhotoHour @WildLondon @Our_Tottenham @LeeValleyPark @StonebridgeLock @londonbirds #londonbirds

@DaveMo57 @StonebridgeLock @joe_beale @GreenbyName1 @rudraksh9 @wobblygreen Dear all apparently it was hit by a shot gun then hit james Wolfe statute. It is being referred to as a wildlife crime - quite rightly. To read all search South Essex Wildlife Hospital on Facebook. Tells all in their last post. Someone tagged me into post

A magnificent task today, with the @StonebridgeLock coalition volunteers joining our Tottenham Tottenham Honorary wardens @kathy4546 and @no_junk_male, good effort litterpicking, clearing a camp, and doing some bramble bashing to liberate a few nice trees. #parkpositive

We've only seen one of the Oxbow swan pair out with their cygnets recently. Anyone seen them both together? Starting to get concerned...@SwanwatchUk @StonebridgeLock

@StonebridgeLock @DobbyWoods @EnvAgency @Feargal_Sharkey Fun fact I once applied for and got a license to trap crayfish on the Lea as there are no native ones anywhere near. I never used it though because of all the shit floating down from the sewage works.

@StonebridgeLock @EnvAgencySE Hi there, we are aware of this incident. There has been suspected used cooking oil flowing into the Grand Union Canal at Alperton. It is really upsetting to see and we’re very grateful to boaters who have been getting in touch and helping to track what’s happening. 1/3

@StonebridgeLock @EnvAgencySE We’re meeting the EA again, on site, later this afternoon. They are the regulator who can track down and then prosecute whoever is responsible. 3/3

@FietserSteve @StonebridgeLock Interesting- so it seems like they might be living right along the river then. Didn’t realise they were a riverine bird.

With great regret we had to retire one of the last few 1.5x3m legacy #HaleWharf #Lock17 floating reedbed platforms as it was failing & taking on water. We’d reclaimed them for forage & haul outs for our waterbirds whilst the planting on new rafts became established #WeWantWildife
