The D.C. Council just funded #DCFairElex, which curbs the influence of big money! Thanks and congratulations to each and every member of @DCFairElex coalition. Change is coming!

Today we crossed the threshold to qualify for matching funds, and we did it faster than any candidate in the city! Every dollar you give is matched 5-to-1 by public funding, providing the resources we need to win without taking a single corporate dollaršŸ™šŸæ #dcfairelex

I’m at the budget engagement forum- if @MayorBowser wants to give DC residents a #FairShot, here’s a few things she should do with our $14.6 billion budget (pardon the crumbs and bad handwriting) #birthtothree #dcfairelex #PutPeopleFirst

So honored by the support of @DCWFP, true leaders on affordable housing, @DCFairElex, quality child care for all, and much more. Looking forward to working together for a DC government that works for all of us, not the same old wealthy lobbyists and insiders. #ForYouNotForSale

A very LONG budget hearing now wrapped up... Covered AG & focus on wage theft & elder abuse; OVSJG & supports for survivors of domestic violence and our right to counsel for those facing evictions; OCF & implementing @DCFairElex; and much, much more. Now on the D6 & headed home.

WE did it! We qualified for @DCFairElex! More than 250 residents supported our cause, and I’m proud to say that over 90% of our donors live in the city. Thank you so much! Now, let’s go win this election!

A big thanks to @charlesallen for promoting democracy reforms in the FY22 budget: covering child care expenses in @DCFairElex, fully funding pay-to-play reform, and removing obstacles to voting

On June 2nd 2020, voters will head to the polls and be able to vote for Fair Elections candidates. Small donors, whose voices will be amplified by #DCFairElex, are more likely to be women, Black, or middle or low income, making them more representative of DC residents.

I don’t live in Ward 5, but I still donated to @ZacharyforWard5 because he will fight for progressive change on the DC Council! As a DC resident, your contribution will be matched 5:1 since Zach is participating in the @DCFairElex program! https://t.co/6delVZ4PWj

Random @RobertWhite_DC appreciation post. I love him. I have a rule about loving politicians. He’s THE exception. I would LOVE for him 2 be Mayor. I would really LOVE it if he used @DCFairElex Program in 2024. Still a fave!

Can't be happier that the 2022 Mayoral election will have 3 major candidates using @DCFairElex. We were proud to be a leader (w/ @DCWFP @Public_Citizen @Demos_Org) on transformative change to make elected officials accountable to the public good, not special interests #DCision22

Today the Council's Judiciary Cmte advanced a landmark campaign finance bill. ā€œDistrict residents want their voices heard over those of special interests. Together w/ @DCFairElex, this bill will empower voters & strengthen democracy." - @charlesallen https://t.co/yY2wwTao8O
