We used #ControlRig to drive the slope warp on #Ciri & #Kelpie for the #Witcher4 #ue5 tech demo. I was able to give the rig to CDPR and they put it on all the NPCs. Kelpie used @kiaran_ritchie’s FBIK node to help the horse rigging not be so complex. #animation #rigging

#UnrealEngine5.6 has a "Locomotor" plugin which provides a new #ControlRig node for procedural locomotion. It takes a target position as input, and outputs an array of feet transforms which animate over time to step towards the goal location. Pelvis motion is also generated.

This weekend I finally got the chance to work on some personal projects. I plan to dive deeper into #UE5 Anim Tools, starting with my favourite - #ControlRig. I decided to recreate the fist setup I did in 4.26. It was much easier this time. I'll keep posting as I go with this.
