Why are we pretending that the pinnacle of AI interaction is typing questions and getting text back? We are pattern-matching, visual-processing, spatial-reasoning creatures who happened to develop language as a useful hack. We think in relationships and patterns, yet currently

Engagement + efficacy both are critical for good learning to scale. The key is an intelligent, personalized AI that blends neuroscience and game design to make learning addictive and effective. We’re building exactly this. DM me if you’re curious to contribute! We’re looking
The dirty little secret of edtech: the biggest names don’t actually care if you learn anything. As co-founder of Udemy, it is something I reckon with every day… Duolingo - edtech’s only decacorn, worth $14B. Brilliant app, addictive product, and great for motivation. But let’s

Karpathy has a great ability to bottle the zeitgeist of AI and invent terminology that becomes status quo. First was vibe coding, now is "ghosts of intelligence". Fascinating take!
Finally had a chance to listen through this pod with Sutton, which was interesting and amusing. As background, Sutton's "The Bitter Lesson" has become a bit of biblical text in frontier LLM circles. Researchers routinely talk about and ask whether this or that approach or idea

if in the next decade elon actually delivers general-purpose humanoids, mass autonomous vehicles, artificial superintelligence, fully reusable super heavy-lift rockets, global direct-to-device connectivity, a Mars landing, and literally makes the blind see again, then $2t isn’t
Tesla is proposing a deal that could give Elon Musk $2 trillion in wealth, more than the bottom 59% of Americans combined. Does anybody in America think this is sane?

it literally has 95% of my startup's code is written by an LLM what the fuck are you guys talking about
Six months ago, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said that, by now, AI would be writing 90% of all code. Here's why that hasn't quite panned out. W/ @rocketalignment

Non-metric goals like ship X, do Y are completely fine, even preferred for early stage products. Any company / org that forces *all* goals for *every product* to the “move metric A from X to Y” format is actually revealing a deficiency in its judgment and critical thinking.
@shreyas What's your take on non-metric goals (ship X, do Y)? I've encountered a lot of resistance to goals like that, especially for OKRs which bias towards metrics-based goal-setting. There have been a lot of instances where "just do it" is the right product decision, but the org

RIP SEO. a16z just called it: traditional search is dead. Welcome to Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). Now people ask AI, not Google and if you’re not in the answer, you don’t exist. Here's how to add this 1 small file to your website to get your brand in any LLM:

hot take: designers often feel like they have to defend every single choice they make, as if they're constantly on trial. that's because design is so visual—anyone can glance at it and throw out opinions, even if those opinions are vague or come from someone without much

Most viral B2C apps right now are NOT original. They’re just: – prettier – Better onboarding – built for a niche community You can win by making version 100 of a proven idea. The pie is big enough

I really dislike this graph, it tricked me a lot in my early years as an entrepreneur and I think its even more misleading now. The math is obviously not wrong, but it kinda makes you feel like the journey from 0-100 users/customers and from there to 1000 or 10000 users are all

I used to think: “Build 1 app per week—maybe one will go viral.” Now I think: “Focus on 1 app. Try 1 new content format every week.”
