The dwp snuck out a report into why people claim pip that disproves all their reasons for cutting disability benefits. They don’t want you to know about it so share this far and wide (Me for @TheCanaryUK) https://t.co/Aw9vk23ZDH

Labour has tried to bury a damning report into DWP PIP which shows that disabled people need it to quite literally survive

So lemme get this straight, Labour will: - cut benefits - stop carer visas - slash palliative care - allow those who feel like burdens to seek assisted suicide - decimate access to work Tell me again how Labour aren't worse than the Tories for disabled people?

“I can’t sleep, I’m so scared.” My report in tomorrow’s Guardian on the disability benefit cuts “domino effect”: losing PIP will see unpaid carers lose their benefits too - pulling away two main strands of a family’s income at once.

There's been lots of talk recently about getting disabled/long-term sick people back into the workforce, but very little about the 60,000 disabled people waiting for support to do just that Here's what's going on with the Access to Work scheme 🧵👇 https://t.co/IVz9nBPh21

More than 60,000 disabled people are yet to receive assistance to enter or remain in the workforce despite Labour’s pledge to get more people into employment

For 48 hours our drive is for Mohamed’s family to survive every day. 🚨This is more urgent than ever. Funds are for essentials—food, medicine—with the spike in costs, and the rest of the rent they owe. Short goal is 363 (5,250 on Chuffed). Let’s do it! https://t.co/BMk6Fi0LTh

The government has announced the most devastating cuts to disability benefits on record. These plans should shame the government to its core. Here's our initial response to the new Welfare Green Paper 🧵👇

Labour are making a huge fuss of how many people are claiming pip (3.6 million). But there are 16.1 million disabled people in the UK. That means 12.5 million disabled people AREN'T getting PIP or any support.

This is the benefits system: “More than 1,000 sick and disabled benefit claimants died while waiting to receive vital payments last year, The Independent can reveal, laying bare the crisis in the welfare system”. Don’t believed the propaganda:

Leftists ignoring the pandemic for so long has left them with zero context to interpret the material realities facing us now. Disability numbers & long term sickness numbers have been rising & govts are reacting. Meanwhile there is no opposition, no one has a clue what’s going on
This is shocking. @itvnews reporting that even those with extreme disabilities in the unfit to work category are likely to lose money under new government plans. Charities have branded the move catastrophic

.@ShaniDhanda "Nearly half of everyone that already lives in poverty is a disabled person or a carer of a disabled person. If we're going to cut support to people that need it most its going to push more people into extreme poverty, with the backdrop of the assisted dying bill"🎯

Please, all of goodwill repeat this wherever you can. To rewrite the history of the labour movement as a celebration of the capacity to labour (with implied eugenicist tilt) is beyond horror. And they know what they are doing. Refuse refuse refuse.
Labour MPs saying “the clue is in the name” to justify benefit cuts is wildly disingenuous. It co-opts Labour’s history to imply all those that cannot physically labour are somehow excluded from the cause. Being pro-worker does not require being anti-unemployed or anti-disabled.
