Of course we need universal daylighting!!! As a parent, turns at intersections are my biggest daily fear. I regularly cross an intersection a 3 year child was killed at by a turning truck six years ago. I can’t bear that we don’t do everything to protect that from happening

The way people tie themselves into knots about AVs is so wild, you got people in the replies to this simultaneously arguing they won’t require any of the parking normal cars do, which would mean they’re on the road at all times and often empty, but will also reduce congestion lol
About a ~ dozen years ago it became clear to me it is physically impossible for autonomous cars to solve most of the problems caused by cars, but also, the people who think otherwise would probably have to figure it out on their own. Welp. They're figuring it out on their own.

When I was a kid we'd have gang members drive around with their lights on and when you flashed your lights at them they killed you as part of their initiation ritual. We also had razor blades in Halloween candy
@AlexNowrasteh When I was a kid in the 80s, we had a lot of Cambodian, Vietnamese & Laotian refugees from the Vietnam War era living in the housing project nearby. They ate dogs. You'd find their skeletal remains in alleys or dumped on the side of the road. It's not hard to believe.

The problem with fertility rates going down is that it destroys the system the world overwhelmingly depends on for elder care, which is the unpaid labor of younger women. Leftists were already supposed to want to destroy that system and replace it with something better anyway!!!
One of the biggest issues the left remains unprepared for is TFR collapse. Ironically, many look at it through a liberal individualist lens where this is just a private issue & not a social one. Even worse, some think any concern with it is right-wing, fascist, eugenics, etc.
