This is a huge milestone for the ZK world.
While the cost-performance is yet far from the native zkEVMs, the fact that you can run native Rust code of something as complex as an Ethereum client is mind-blowing.

TL;DR of the 🧵: EVM+ > EVM because synchronous interoperability with Rust/Move code is much more powerful than mere Solidity.
We agree. This is why
@zksync
compiles Solidity via LLVM, and it's so easy to add Rust/Move/... frontends.
ZK rollups win heads down, once again :)
There's a narrative out there that ZK Rollups will be able to do everything that Optimistic Rollups do but better.
The way this story goes is that we're just waiting for ZK rollups to be ready, but as soon as they are, they win hands down.
