Nearly 90% of these fees go to the Treasury. It’s a symptom of our out-of-control electricity system that govt charges rent to wind farms and then adds taxes onto bills to pay for them. To cut subsidies & make electricity cheaper, we need urgent reform of this ‘circular taxation’
