this is the way.
My relationship with my phone has been transformed by leveraging @getclearspace and @TextsHQ. Any anxiety I had about missing DMs is completely covered, and I am blocked from mindlessly scrolling. Amazing combo.

fastest pushups so far . (teleported to 4).
Okay this is amazing. Push-ups to unlock time in addictive apps. You can choose your level—I went with 3 pushups per 1 minute 😅. Nice work @getclearspace team 🙌

Phone notifications that stop you from getting hit by a bus? Very Cool. App that gives you the control to not look at your phone while you walk? Even Cooler. #DigitalDiscipline #DownloadClearSpace.

🔍 "Minimalist Smartphones" feel like the move but do they get the job done? Taking a look at two of the top offerings: @thelightphone & @palm . I like both but fear @thelightphone might have too little while @palm might have too much.

If social media were your significant other, be honest, would you "need some space"? #clearspace.

@hubermanlab @nireyal introduced "traction", that which pulls you toward what you want to do, as a useful opposite of "distraction". mindfulness similarly seems to have a lot to do with intention.

If you've never tried a phone fast now's the time. Even if it's just during a specific window of your day (dinner time, before bed, morning hours) whatever is realistic for you give it a try and watch how it improves that time.
You ever think, “I’m gonna read a book” and then you can’t read more than 30 seconds? . That’s your sign, you need a fast from socials - your BRAIN has developed a “character limit” and you’ll atrophy if you don’t reset. Sleep 2 nights @ 8 hrs and don’t touch socials. RESET.

Cool ideas from @lexfridman and @hubermanlab about the possibility of (and need for) tech that works to make people's lives better by trimming the fat from our social media, phones, etc. That's what we're working on at ClearSpace!

clearly naming what matters for a season, shaping environment to encourage what matters and discourage what doesn't, setting up a time to course correct.
How do you stay focused on what matters to you? . I recently spoke with @BetaLucca1 of the Hyper Curious podcast about distraction, traction, and taking steps to become who you want to be.

@BDePa @JamesClear oh interesting - you've found the social media ads to be a leading cause of pulling people away from what they want to be doing?. I'm the same. personal productivity inversely correlated with steph curry's scoring avg 😂. how do you attempt to fight the itch to binge highlights?.

@WhiteheartVic @StathisSel @hubermanlab may not have been intentional, but I think "being in the present and aware" is a meaningful place to consider what "mindfulness" is at least on some level.
