Fun fact/storytime: In very D.C. fashion, in middle school at my Jewish day school, we did a unit in our Talmudic studies course on the Jewish perspective on abortion. Judaism is largely supportive of abortion, and during this unit, we explored the textual/rabbinic reasoning. 1/
The irony is you’re using a Jewish phrase “May their memories be a blessing” when Judaism is largely supportive of abortion and most Jewish people are as well.
In fact, the Jewish community has been one of the most outspoken and proactive on helping pass abortion protections 💙
