We just won our Senate race! As a son of immigrants, a public school kid, I never could’ve imagined I’d get to serve as a US Senator. I’m deeply humbled and grateful to NJ and for everyone who got us here. I promise I’ll serve with honor and integrity as a public servant for all.

Congratulations to James Solomon, the next Mayor of Jersey City! People in NJ are tired of corruption, tired of greed, and tired of politics as an exclusive club for the well-off & well-connected. This is the rise of a new era defined by public servants who work for the people.

Terry Schuster is the Corrections Ombudsperson for the State of New Jersey. He talked about the problem of excessive force and abuse in women's prisons and how the Comptroller uncovered those abuses and held the perpetrators accountable.

Rev. Dr. Leslie Robin Harrison of Mount Zion AME Church in Riverton spoke about the misuse of opioid settlement funds in her community and how the Comptroller uncovered that abuse and restored those funds to the groups helping those struggling with addiction.

I woke up feeling sick and couldn’t go with the boys for their first time doing an escape room, so they spent the day transforming their room into an Escape Room so I could have the experience. So sweet. And it was really hard to solve. Finished with only 2 minutes left.

This is just a few minutes from my old Congressional office. Local high school has a 97% graduation rate, Netflix is opening a $1B movie studio down the road, and Bruce Springsteen was born and raised around the corner (and still lives there). So yeah…tell me more.

This is the first year in forever that I’m not cooking the turkey. So I’m channeling my energy into making a vat of Mac and cheese and green bean casserole to feed 25 people. First batch done. Wish me luck. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
