We just won our Senate race! As a son of immigrants, a public school kid, I never could’ve imagined I’d get to serve as a US Senator. I’m deeply humbled and grateful to NJ and for everyone who got us here. I promise I’ll serve with honor and integrity as a public servant for all.

Families are grieving. Others are using all their strength to hold on to hope. Let’s give them strength through this tragedy.

I am deeply saddened by the news of two state legislators and their families in Minnesota targeted and shot last night. Awaiting news on their condition, but we should all come together immediately to strongly condemn acts of violence against public servants. No matter how.

The first words he said were “I’m Senator Alex Padilla.” . Secretary Noem is knowingly lying here. The physical restraint and handcuffing of a U.S. Senator is outrageous and must be condemned by all, including Republican Senators.

People of all faiths and backgrounds should always be welcome on the floors of Congress. It’s painful to see this ignorance and xenophobia come from someone who was elected to represent our country from those same floors. Rep Miller disrespected Muslims, then changed her attack.

At some point drone warfare will no longer be novel and its use will be much more common and widespread. Operation Spiderweb shows that moment will come sooner than we are prepared. And the actors that best understand how to rapidly utilize this change in warfare will have.
