Got a Christmas card from a bright and active 90-year-old friend - she says “thank God for FAGS & WHISKY”. A fine lesson in variability for us statisticians.

https://t.co/Xv1Hlu1QwN Did my child die because I married a cousin? The risk of having a baby with birth defects is around 6% among those married to a blood relative. There are other causes too. Continued awareness-raising from @BiBresearch makes prevention efforts possible

@docjohnwright @BiBresearch @SueM1tchell @DeborahLawlor2 @drrosiemc @Kamsid66 Big differences. But plenty to study together, which should give opportunities to research underlying causes and strategies for prevention in Pakistan and UK. Let’s hope there is a lot of support for this new birth cohort. #wehavemoreincommon @friendly_bishop
