Many innocent people have been executed since 1976, Ledell Lee, Ivan Cantu, to name a few, the death penalty is useless, it does not generate an "anti-crime effect", it is more expensive than life imprisonment. @RDunhamDP @DPInfoCtr
Good article in which facts and logic triumph over emotion. What the empirical evidence shows is that “there have been no proven wrongful executions in the ‘modern’ era of capital punishment – the period since the Supreme Court instituted reforms in 1976”

Nelson Serrano lawyer, Roy Black, has died. He took on the case as part of post-conviction efforts to challenge Serrano’s death sentence, focusing on alleged constitutional violations, suppression of evidence, and the need for new DNA testing.

I remember #LedellLee executed by the state of Arkansas on April 20, 2017. Mr. Lee always maintained his innocence. 4 years after his execution, DNA from another man was found on the murder weapon that was never previously tested. #InnocentAndExecuted

Brittany Holberg was sentenced to death in 1998 after Texas prosecutors failed to disclose that their key witness at trial was a paid informant. This case's display of prosecutorial misconduct serves as a reminder of enduring problems in the death penalty. https://t.co/LuvwdA0Cpt

Good news!!
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has vacated Texas death-row prisoner Brittany Holberg's conviction, holding that prosecutors withheld exculpatory evidence and presented false argument. https://t.co/x0IOhO5HBm

I remember #NateWoods executed by the state of AL on March 5, 2020. He was wrongfully convicted because of official misconduct, coerced informant testimony and racial discrimination. 5 years ago an INNOCENT man was executed. To honor his memory we need to #EndTheDeathPenalty
