I’ve had 17 complaints since Sunday about “lack of coverage.”
I cover 27 high schools, two pro hockey teams, one college and many youth and travel organizations.
I’m the only sports reporter at the Times Herald. I get paid for just 40 hours of work per week.

Over 99% of MHSAA athletes have tested negative for COVID-19. Gov. Whitmer needs to realize how constantly shutting down contact sports has decimated the mental well-being of student-athletes. Depression and anxiety are on the rise. These kids deserve better. Let them play.

We were a close D2 community, especially before crossplay.
Everybody knew basically everyone. Which made it special. Lots and lots of friends. Great PVP rivals.
Gonna miss it. Made a lot of lifetime buddies merely because I only had them to play with.

MHSAA just announced high school basketball teams can play up to 22 games starting next season.
It has also shortened mandatory pre-season practices before the first game is played from 21 days to 14.

No. I played Halo 3 for all four years of college, easily 4-6 hours a day. And the game released very few updates a la map packs, sandbox changes, etc.
There were no real cosmetics. No real chases. Just FUN pvp action non-stop. Great playlists, matchmaking, etc.

Canton football coach Andy LaFata has stepped down after 15 years in the program, which includes the past 5 as the head coach.
He was offered a teaching position at Lake Orion, which allows him to be closer to his family. He couldn't turn it down.
