Work to #KeepThePromise, to transform the ways that children, families and care experienced adults are supported, must continue, at quality and pace. I will continue to engage across the chamber so all 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿’s children grow up loved, safe and respected by 2030 - at the very latest.

Sustained determination to #KeepThePromise was clear in the debate. As was passion for the positive progress being made. There was also frustration expressed at the deep-rooted systemic barriers that continue to get in the way, thwarting and slowing the pace of change.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿’s children and families in and on the edge of the ‘care system’, and care experienced adults need the promise to be kept.   The commitment made in 2020 by all political parties to #KeepThePromise was essential then, and remains essential today.

Progress has been made; but the education outcomes for those in care are a national shame. I’ve written some (far more personal than usual) reflections on why this is, what they mean, my own experience of school, and having something to hope for. ⬇️ https://t.co/JUJewcRmxy
