While Apple has better UX, Google is still miles ahead in data. Needed directions to pediatric ER. Apple was taking me around in circles, GMaps took me to the exact location. I'll deal w the crappy UX as long as it gets me to the destination.
Start using Apple Maps and you’ll never go back to Google Maps. It’s been a while since I tried Google but now that I did, it sucks. Who the heck understands what “turn right in 1236 feet” means? Apple tells me to “go past this light and make a right in the next one.”

Frugality leads to efficiency, scarcity leads to excellence. When H100 is not even accessible in China Chinese AI engineers really have to focus, optimize and excel . Side note: the company never raised from VC too, it’s entirely funded by a local hedge fund manager’s prop money.

None of this matters. In B2C, first mover gets the name recognition that is very hard to displace by subsequent competitors even if they offer better products. Background color or font don't matter to the average user. See also VHS v/s Betamax, BTC v/ ETH, Echo v/s Homepod etc.
I tried to switch to Claude. Then had to switch back to ChatGPT after 2 days. Claude's app is still a UX and UI nightmare, the paper color background and font is just super ugly to me, the entire layout actively annoys me using it. Claude's (well Anthropic's) models are way

A colleague at a previous employer, who went to H, said that you could always tell one of the LADS (Legacy Athlete Donor Staff) from the others - the difference was just too striking.
