Very sad to see Tchéky Karyo has died. A wonderful actor in BBC hit The Missing and then his own spin off series Baptiste. Recall a memorable Brussels set visit and several screenings where he was the most enthusiastic & passionate person in the room, with time for everyone. RIP

I don’t care if your film is an original one or the 6th entry in a franchise, I care if I enjoy it or not. A movie being a sequel does not immediately spell bad quality, and a film being original does not immediately spell greatness. I wish more people on here understood this.

While writing your first screenplay is tough, writing a trilogy can be even tougher. Not only must the themes carry through the rest of the franchise, but the stakes also have to feel bigger. Read how Quentin Tarantino breaks down the trilogy rules here:

You think of a story. It starts small inside you like a tiny acorn. You grow it into this enormous oak tree, branch after branch spilling out, taking on a life of its own. You then spend a considerable amount of time distilling it back down into an acorn. That's storytelling.

Today your girl got tapped to direct a feature film AND give a screenwriting workshop in March. Both unrelated but both AWESOME. It’s a good day.

7 years ago I wrote a script for a bit of fun. I’d read interviews with @PhelpsieSarah and @jed_mercurio and decided to give it go. Why not? Oh the naivety 🤣🤣🤣 Anyways here I am and my own show airs tonight #thewives
