What a great annual traditional the @RTELateLateShow appeal is! Getting the donation in early this year. Love that @Revolut make it so easy. Now roll on the #LateLateToyShow itself, when Irish Twitter comes into its own!

What happened in University Hospital Limerick to the four vibrant, young women on the front of the Limerick Leader today is beyond debate. It is shameful.

If they don't want to be part of Uber, they don't have to be. Nobody is forcing any taxi driver to use the app. This isn't a Government problem. Get on with it and pick up fares the old way, or just use a different taxi app and stop bothering the rest of us!

Been saying this for a long time. Dr. Patten is bang on. The return on investment is potentially massive: far more than most avenues were already throwing public funds at. Given @lawlessj recently signing Ireland up to @CERN, this is the next logical step https://t.co/BLVvEYdyQ6

By the letter of the law, Ireland deserved all 4 cards in that half.... by the same letter of law, South Africa deserved 2. How the officials can try claim consistency is laughable. Extremely one sided. Rassie clearly in Matt's head pre KO. He's ruined the game! #IREvRSA

Hard-right love "Ireland being overrun" narrative on immigration But as @fotoole notes, actual numbers small: here's log-plot of raw inward migration [2024-2025] in terms of Croke Park. As @CSOIreland explain, net immigration falling too.. https://t.co/lxq09kU7XU.

Yes a couple earning €42,525 each in gross income (with a €38k deposit) being able to buy a brand new, A-rated home in a desirable area like Stoneybatter is indeed affordable and way below market value of said property, no matter how badly you try spin it for ragebait clicks.

This makes me genuinely angry!😡 €498k for an ‘affordable’ home💶 This is the price list for so called ‘affordable’ homes on the O’Devaney Gardens site🏡 These could have been genuinely affordable but Govt forced this Joint Venture on DCC🙄 This scheme is utterly broken❌

The one thing I want to know in the Ivan Yates story is, who spilled the beans on his working with FF, and what was their agenda in doing so? Could be more to this story under the surface yet!

Been going to Ireland game for a long time but I strain to think of a worse 45 minute I've witnessed them play with my own two eyes. Maybe, just maybe @FAIreland appointing a guy who was utterly found out as Jamaica coach wasn't the shrewd move they thought it was.

Worth noting this sunny Sunday, that the only club in all rugby history with a 100% win record in the @IrishRugby @EnergiaEnergy AIL is @EnnisRugby. That is all.

Funny thing about this poll, should it come to pass, is that anyone intentionally spoiling their vote would, defacto, be voting for Catherine Connolly (the eventual winner). Which is ironic seeing as she's the antithesis of what most of those advocating spoilt votes stand for.

If undecideds were removed, didn’t vote, or broke down along the same proportions: Connolly 46 Humphreys 33 Gavin 21 Polling by Ireland Thinks suggests Gavin’s elimination and transfers would see Connolly elected, 53% to Humphreys’ 47%.

Half our electricity production is from fossil fuels still (incl portion of imports). 78% (and rising!) of our gas for electricity production is imported, meaning half our electricity is directly imported. No wonder we have such high prices. We need to expand domestic production.

Something I hadn't realised - Ireland has the most expensive electricity in the world (apart from 65k population Bermuda), with prices 59% higher than France and 2.4 times higher than average prices in the United States.
