An Association for Computer Machinery conference paper finds that LLMs systematically give worse (less clinically accurate) medical advice to patients who: are female; are non-binary; use informal/slang language; and demonstrate a weaker grasp of English.

This is what makes me livid about the “AI can do PhD level work and can produce anything a human scholar can” BS. No it can’t! It’s stealing and regurgitating things the scholars you’re disparaging did! It’s literally plagiarizing the human work you’re claiming its automating!
Those books are WHERE THE COMPUTER IS GETTING ITS INFORMATION FROM!!!!!!!!!!
