Hard to know if a Tribunal would be hard on Reeves (sheās Chancellor & should know the law, high profile case, inconsistencies in her public account already) or more lenient (in light of emails from letting agent??) but Iād bet sheād pay £££ for it not to get to that stage anyway

Utterly disgusting. 8 years after Grenfell, we cannot let powerful landlords put our safety last.

9-5 was not designed for *anyone* actually. Itās nothing to do with our hormonal cycles vs theirs and everything to do with ~capitalism~. Besides, prior to the 40 hr work week people worked 10-16 hours per day on avg. The 40 hour work week was the result of decades of activism.
when will the world realize 9ā5 was never designed for women?? the 40-hour workweek was made for men in the industrial era. women have shorter circadian rhythms, hormonal cycles, stronger stress responses, and quicker cognitive fatigue. it completely misaligns with our biology

Weāve known from the start that this Labour governmentsā priority is developers & their profits so itās useful theyāre saying it explicitly now b/c folk can stop entertaining their faux discourse on wanting to fix the housing crisis

Yesterday was supposed to be the premiere of our documentary. The event was sold out weeks in advance, and as you can imagine, we were all really excited about sharing our months of work with you all. However, the proscription changed everything. This article by the good people
The UK government ban on a documentary following Palestine Action transformed the film into a living symbol of state overreach

As they try to push through their cruel welfare reforms, here are Liz Kendall and Stephen Timms' own voting records on welfare and benefits under the Coalition & Tory govs. The Labour party is full of ghouls who stand for nothing, and will do anything for a whiff of power.

So many Labour MPs acting as if PIP is an out-of-work benefit. At first I assumed they were uninformed (still bad), but it's now clearly a deliberate cynical tactic to manufacture support for cuts based on insidious lies. If any of them can still feel shame, they should ā deeply.
Stephen Kinnock is lying. People don't lose PIP when they get a job, its not an out of work benefit & plenty of people on PIP work Kinnock knows this. What hes doing is part of a wider govt strategy to paint disabled people as shirkers & scroungers stealing from working people

Washing and bathing is the only PIP area with a 3 point descriptor. To underscore the cruelty of these cuts: even if changed to 3+ rule, those who cannot wash their hair/below the waist without help from someone else would STILL lose their PIP (unless they scored a 4 elsewhere).
Only one 'activity' in the PIP assessment has a 3-point descriptor. This concession would fail to address the central problem with the proposed change - that people scoring 2 points on multiple activities may be just as impaired as someone scoring higher points in fewer areas

āthe right to protest is essential and we will always defend itā in the same breath as bemoaning the fact that you donāt have the power to prevent this protest and warning that ābreaches of the law will be dealt with robustlyā i.e. you are chomping at the bit to make arrests
Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has issued the following statement ahead of a planned protest in support of Palestine Action, due to take place in Westminster tomorrow.
