that's a transpo bureau that claims to be broke, removing a new bike lane from a street designated years ago as a city bikeway because it connects to the city's biggest destination for working-class jobs without announcing the removal

This bike lane is part of a plan that went through a 2-year public process, before being adopted by council by a 5-0 vote (with 4 of those council members still sitting today). To remove it with no notice is what's wrong.
