In 1961, 10-year-old Gwen Goldman penned a letter to the Yankees expressing her dream of being a bat girl. The response she received from the GM at the time still hangs on her living room wall. This HOPE Week, the Yankees will make 70-year-old Gwen’s dream come true.

A proud moment today as I announced the U.S. will be delivering one million doses of the Pfizer vaccine to Paraguay in the coming weeks. These vaccines from the United States are a tangible representation of our commitment to the people of Paraguay to help fight this pandemic.

It’s the first official day of the G7 Summit here in the United Kingdom. I’m looking forward to reinforcing our commitment to multilateralism and working with our allies and partners to build a more fair and inclusive global economy. Let’s get to work.
