Wills are also cool you can make them as overt expressions of your faith; Old English wills began with "In the name of God, Amen"; its not that hard for a will to begin NAMO AMITHABA or NAMO BUDDHAYA NAMO DHARMAYA NAMO SANGHAYA

I am reading this story as a cautionary tale of why anyone with a remote attachment to material goods should make a will: if you dont make one, your beatific vision of Amithaba's paradise will be destroyed by a stray thought and you will plunge into hell.

The Golden Ass contains a mixture of constant violence, scatology, and taboo-breaking sex. It also contains the well-known fable of Cupid and Psyche, which may have something to do with Platonic ideas of the descent of the soul into matter and its reascent to the divine.

In another part of the almanac there's a table that shows planetary ingresses and the numerologically calculated stars; this has the 12 chinese zodiac signs going clockwise and the 12 western zodiac signs going anticlockwise.
