Back from a recent trip from Kangaroo Island @lucindahats has been collecting water samples from across the island. The water samples will be assessed for #platypus eDNA to assist in detecting remnant platypus populations. π§¬

This week the lab has started with a trip to the Windara #shellfish reef to collect water and oyster samples π¦ͺ Windara was built in 2018 and is the first and largest shellfish reef in Australia. Research by @BecSuttonSmith will assist in understanding #restoration outcomes
