The coastal environment is not managed in a way that considers the impact of cumulative threats, despite being subject to threats from all realms (marine, land, and atmosphere). Relationships...
Does your research involve understanding #CumulativeImpacts? If so, you should check out our new paper that uses empirical data to predict impact rather than relying on vulnerabilities https://t.co/2K1nmA3jLM

Wonderful talk, thanks @AlelimonHA and such brilliant imagery
Thanks to Prof. Rod Connolly, the Coastal and Marine Research Centre (@Griffith_Uni), & @GriffithARI for the invitation to talk about my research on endangered coral species & mesophotic coral ecosystems. A very engaged audience and lots of follow-up conversations -I had a blast!

Amazing to have a multi-stressor field experiment involving the whole seagrass community, congratulations @A0strowski
In the THIRD paper from her PhD, @A0strowski uses structural equation models to identify causal effects of dynamic #multiplestressors on #seagrass (1/2). https://t.co/3JMV0yeG3Y

We have transplanted 18.750 new eelgrass shoots covering 1 ha last week in Gamborg Fjord, Denmark. Fingers crossed that they will thrive like we have seen in multiple other Danish fjords.

The greater Gladstone region is such a special part of the world. Another trip done and dusted and another tropical oyster reef found (growing on soft sediment, not rock!). @ozfishunlimited

Urchins and morays and spat, oh my! A bit emotional after the amazing press around oyster reef restoration this week while finishing up my last field trip at Noosa for my PhD. Phenomenal recruitment after only 4 months with some great results to come 🥳

For those restoring coastal habitats, this paper highlights the aspects of habitat condition that link to fish diversity. 13 estuaries over 2 years, a really comprehensive dataset. @globalwetlands #shellfish #mangrove
The structure and complexity of coastal habitats affects fish. But how can we use this to optimise management and restoration targets? Check out our new paper in Estuarine Coastal and Shelf Science led by @hannahjperry_ and funded by @hlthylandwater
